A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST
Love means that I accept you for the person that you are and that I do not wish to change you into something that you aren’t. Love is when you stand by someone in their darkest moments and fall harder despite them. Love means that you wake up every morning consciously making a promise to do what ever it takes to make that other person smile and feel the most beautiful they can possibly imagine. “OLEV” 36×60 allowed me to express the doorway in which my soul has recently passed through, opening into a life and a fulfilment that I have only dreamed of being a part of. I have witnessed the journey of creating a foundation that consists of roots so entangled and submerged that the rockiest of moments wouldn’t even create a ripple. I have experienced moments where my breath has been taken away by a mere look from across the room and have literally collapsed due to the overwhelming gratitude of just knowing this person. As I proceed on this journey, I find comfort in learning that judgement doesn’t exist despite knowing their darkest secrets, that I care enough to fight for what we have and love enough to never want to let go. “Love means thinking of you, dreaming of you, wanting and needing you constantly,” and being so open to receiving the same in return with ease.
