BETTER TOGETHER
Look at this one, little, lonesome piece in this space. It’s beautiful. We can’t deny that. It’s all lit up perfectly and it is having it’s moment to shine. It has a story. It has lots of layers, and it has something to say. However, I can’t help but think how great it would look hanging beside all the other paintings I created for this show.
And that is what this show is all about. TOGETHER IS ALWAYS BETTER.
Yes we can work, be sad, travel, heal, sing, dance, paint, hike, hurt, and overcome adversity on our own, but don’t you think it’s way better when we enlist the help or company of others? Isn’t it more fun when you can share a moment with someone else and create memories that will last a lifetime? Doesn’t it feel better when you confide in someone else and you realize you aren’t alone?
My answer to these questions will always be “yes!” Especially since we have ALL just experienced a worldwide pandemic and mandatory quarantine. That time alone allowed me to figure out the importance of community, how we can accomplish so much more if we work together, that if we unite as one, we can move mountains.
The world showed up in so many wonderful ways these last few months. I wanted this art show to be a reminder of what we are capable of and that we are always better together.
