SURRENDER

I’m a planner. I’ve always thrived on organization and plans and checklists. I love researching and executing a plan flawlessly. When I set my mind to something, watch out! Nothing satisfies me more than checking off that next task or next “life goal” and figuring out what the following adventure is going to be. School, check. Husband, check. Buy a house, check. Dream job, check. Make a baby………………….

But sometimes plans don’t pan out the way you ultimately hoped. You spend all this time envisioning a certain future and for whatever reason, that future does not become your reality despite your endless efforts.

Not having control is the worst. But the alternative to not letting go and moving forward seemed unimaginable. The only choice was to surrender. Surrender to the fact that I wasn’t in control. Surrender to the fact that it was ok that I didn’t know what was next. Surrender to the space of building a new vision.

Surrendering is the hardest part when moving through feeling lost. But “the power of surrender is this: you do not have to move mountains; you simply have to listen. You simply have to take slow and steady steps forward and let the universe do its half. By letting go, we leave space to let a little more flow naturally make its way in – and believe this — the universe has enough flow to go around. So just surrender

  • There’s nothing like it in the whole world

  • It’ll make your other walls jealous

  • It can be shipped to you anywhere in the world (as long as you’re willing to pay for it)
